Russia increased ferrous metals export

According to official data, in January-July 2015 Russia sold abroad 2.492 million tons of pig iron, up 16% to year-on-year. Carbon steel slabs export rose by 10% to 8.343 million tons, flat rolled products by 2% to 4.752 million tons.

«Export grow was caused by the ruble devalvation, so the Russian metallurgical companies try to increase sales abroad,» said Leonid Khazanov, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Metal Supply and Sale Magazine.
