Ashinsky Metallurgical Plant: revenue surged 47% in Q1 2007

The plant’s Q107 financial performance was very encouraging, as revenue surged 47% y-o-y to $56 mln and net income more than doubled to $6.5 mln.

Ashinsky Metallurgical Plant’s revenues rose to $273.7 mln in 2006, up 13% y-o-y, while EBITDA declined 14% y-o-y to $59 mln and net income climbed 9% y-o-y to $53.6 mln.

A decline in EBITDA was driven by higher production cost which was, in turn, the result of rising prices for some raw materials. On the upside, Ashinsky Metallurgical Plant boosted its non-operating revenues which translated into a higher net income figure.
