MMK, Kamaz Sign Strategic Agreement
Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) and truck maker Kamaz signed a strategic partnership agreement on Thursday.
The companies have agreed to form a working party to assess MMK's technical capability to produce the whole range of metal used by Kamaz.
Automobile plants account for 10% of MMK's domestic sales, and Kamaz for 24% of the automotive steel sales.
MMK sold 133,000 tonnes of metal to Kamaz in 2006 and 83,000 tonnes in the first half of 2007.
