32 Countries of the World Participated in Metal Week in Moscow

Metal-Expo’2007 the 13th International Industrial exhibition was successfully held in Moscow on November 13-16, 2007. Such leaders of the steel industry as Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works, Severstal, Novolipetsk Iron and Steel Works, Mechel Group, Estar Group of Companies, Pipe Metallurgical Company, United Metallurgical Company, Urals Mining and Metallurgical Company, ChTPZ Group, Russian Copper Company, VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, Magnezit Group, Uralmash, ORMETO-YUMZ etc. presented their expositions at the show.
International participation was quite impressive as well. Such world leaders as ArcelorMittal, Baosteel, ThyssenKrupp, Posco, Alco etc participated in the show among around 200 international companies.
Representatives of steel consuming industries such as machine-building, construction, transportation, power-engineering etc. had an opportunity to discuss with highly qualified specialists prospects of cooperation concerning buying of raw materials and finished products. More than 30 thousand heads of companies and specialists in the steel industry, machine-building, transportation, logistics, metalworking etc. visited the exhibition and more than 700 companies from 32 countries of the world participated in Metal-Expo’2007.
60 conferences, round tables, seminars and presentations were held during the exhibition. On the first day of Metal Week in Moscow (November 12) more than 200 delegates discussed key matters of the steel business at Russian Metal and Steel Market, the 10th International Conference. Certain segments of the steel market were analyzed at such popular conferences as Russian Steel Service Centers: Equipment and Technologies, Tendencies of Development and Market Conditions. IT Technologies for Steel Plants: Modern Tendencies and New Opportunities for Business etc.
It is a fact that more than 80% of visitors make decisions regarding buying not at the show, but during the first 6 months after the show. Thus, during the next few weeks all who participated in Metal-Expo will have much to do and many contacts to process.
