OMZ Oil and Gas Projects Signs Agreement to Supply 15 High Pressure Vessels to Tatneft Subsidiary TANEKO

OMZ Oil and Gas Projects (Izhorskiye Zavody), a part of OMZ Group, has signed an agreement to supply 15 high pressure vessels to TANEKO OJSC, a subsidiary of Tatneft OJSC. The vessels will be a part of a sulphur recovery unit in an oil processing and petrochemicals complex being built in Nizhnekamsk. The value of the agreement is RUR310 million.

The signing of the agreement is in line with the companies’ long term mutual cooperation. In 2007 the companies concluded a contract for two hydrocracking reactors which were unique in terms of their weight and quality of steel. Currently the equipment is being manufactured and is to be shipped to the customer in late 2009. Moreover the company concluded another contract for the production of 43 spherical gas holders with capacities of 600 and 2,000 cubic meters for the storage of propane, propylene, crude and coking naphtha.

Viktor Danilenko, General Director, OMZ, said, “The design and manufacture of petrochemical equipment is an important business for OMZ. Using our wide experience in nuclear power engineering we provide to our partners specializing in the oil, gas and petrochemical sectors a high level of design work, innovative methods of complex equipment production. And finally we provide high quality products to all our customers. For us this is the most important indicator of our operations.”
