Novosibirsk Metallurgical Works named after Kuzmin Gradually Ramps Up Production

Novosibirsk Metallurgical Works named after Kuzmin resumes production in previous volumes of output. The Works put into operation all main technological lines – hot rolling mill 810, pipe mills 20-102, 20-114 (№1 and №2), 10-50, cutting lines 450, 460, 740, 850, 420.

In February 2009, the Works plans to produce 9,107 tn of steel products, including 2,069 tn of commercial steel bars and 7,038 tn of pipes. The shipment plan in February will be 9,453 tn.

In March the volumes of output will increase. The production plan will include 13,977 tn, including pipes – 10,233 tn and commercial steel bars – 3,764 tn. The shipment plan in March will be 15,400 tn.

Lack of stability in the operation of the Works is caused by another rise in prices for slab and its non-regular supplies. Increase in volumes of output is connected with the increasing number of orders due to the beginning of the repair works season at communal and housing objects.
