Mechel produced 1.4Mt of steel in Q1 2010

According to operational results announced by Mechel in Q1 2010 the company increased production of coking coal concentrate to 2.4Mt (+230% as compared to corresponding period of 2009), production of steam types of coal in Q1, on the contrary, dropped by 21% reaching 2.3Mt, steel production reached 1.4Mt (+30%), pig iron: 1.05Mt (+53%), rolled products: 1.5Mt (+44%).
