Russia’s Renova Group unit to launch baked anode production in 2012

Russian carbon and graphite producer Energoprom, part of multi-industry holding Renova Group, plans to launch baked anode production at the Chelyabinsk Electrode Plant in 2012, Energoprom said in a statement.

Investments in the project are expected to amount to more than U.S. $20 million, Energoprom said. The annual production capacity of the plant is expected to be 100,000 tonnes of anodes.
