Severstal received GOSGRANT Support for Social Projects prize
Severstal, JSC one of the world’s leading vertically integrated steel and steel related mining companies, won the Support for Social Projects prize for its Road Home program at the 2nd Congress of Nonprofit Organizations of Russia and All-Russia Conference (GOSGRANT) awards. Experts judged Severstal’s Road Home program in Cherepovets, where Severstal’s core business unit the Cherepovets Steel Mill is located, to be one of the best examples of a successful public-private partnership combating the problem of social orphanage and child homelessness in Russia.

Severstal’s gold business, Nordgold, was established in 2007 and comprises mines and exploration projects in Russia, Kazakhstan, Burkina Faso and Guinea. Severstal’s crude steel production in 2010 was 14.7 million tons.
