NLMK ranked second among World's 35 Most Competitive Steelmakers
NLMK Group, the LSE-listed leading steel producer, was awarded second place in the annual ranking of the 35 most competitive global steel producers. The ranking prepared by World Steel Dynamics, the world’s leading steel information service, was based on 23 parameters including level of capacity expansion, proximity to high-growth markets and customers, share of high value-added products in a company’s product mix, profitability levels and technological innovation.
World Steel Dynamics highlighted NLMK’s competitive advantages, such as low production costs, self-sufficiency in raw materials, strong financial performance, proximity to key sales markets, pricing policy, as well as the company’s activities in the areas of social and environmental responsibility, and workers’ safety.
Since 2007, NLMK has consistently been named among the world’s top 6 most competitive steelmakers as ranked by World Steel Dynamics.
